Why sales, why now

Five years of phone sales taught me that the part most people dread is the part I'm built for: the objection, and the work of finding out what someone actually needs before I try to sell them anything. A patient recently called to skip his order over cost. By the end of the call he had re-enrolled, and told me it was worth it.

Over the past year I also learned to build software, including StatSnap, an NFL analytics app. The part I looked forward to was never the code. It was explaining it. Ask me what an API is:

An API is a restaurant. The front end is the menu, the back end is the kitchen, and you don't need to see the kitchen to get your food.

Watching that click for someone who couldn't follow the technical version is the same rush as a good sales call.

Learning to build didn't make me want to write code all day. It showed me where I'm most useful: being the person who makes a technical product make sense to the people who have to buy it. Five years of consultative sales plus real technical fluency isn't a fallback. It's the profile a technical BDR seat is written for.

Experience

  1. Patient Success Representative, Outbound Enrollment

ResMed Remote May 2023 to present

    • Handle 150+ calls a day, split evenly between inbound and outbound, running enrollment campaigns for home medical equipment (HME) provider partners, sustaining a 95% call quality score while consistently meeting or exceeding assigned enrollment targets.
    • Work through objections across hundreds of daily conversations with cold and warm leads, reading hesitation and adjusting the pitch in real time to move prospects to a decision.
    • Improved conversion of Spanish-speaking callers by 15% by tuning an AI-powered phone system with engineering, designing Spanish-language test cases and labeling edge cases.
    • Increased retention 25% among patients calling to stop therapy or skip a supply order, by walking each one through their options for staying on treatment. I track this number myself, monthly; it isn't one the team reports.
  2. Data Collection Analyst, Contract

Pro Football Focus Remote Oct 2022 to Sep 2023

    • Logged and validated thousands of NCAA plays at 98% accuracy in PFF's proprietary tools, contributing to analytics products used by 200+ college programs.
    • Reduced data-review turnaround time by roughly 10% by identifying workflow bottlenecks and proposing edge-case rule clarifications to leads.
  3. Customer Service and Sales Representative

Outlook Services San Antonio, TX Sep 2018 to Jun 2020

    • Consistently exceeded quarterly sales targets in a high-volume phone sales environment, securing new business through outbound prospecting while maintaining a 90% quality score.

I understand what I sell

StatSnap

A live NFL analytics app I built and run. It serves the advanced stats that are normally paywalled, to anyone.

Fluency
Enough to run a technical discovery call without a sales engineer on the line: JavaScript, Python, SQL, REST APIs, React, Node.
Inside view
Two months inside a startup Scrum team as a software engineering extern (TypeScript, GraphQL, AWS). I know what my buyers' week looks like from their side of the table.
Education
BBA in Cyber Security and Information Systems, University of Texas at San Antonio, 2024, cum laude. Full-stack software engineering bootcamp, TripleTen, 2026.
